| Comments: Hi Julie, this is Gadget of the Rescue Rangers, well; I figured this would be a good time as any to sign your Guest book, after all: it's only fair that we aknowledge our fan's out there, I mean; it's not that we're stuck up or anything, then again: if that was the case: then we'd all be wearing plungers, I think. Let's see, there..was..something..else..I ..was..supposed..to..oh, now I remember, Brian wanted me to tell all of you since he's still working, that he has *a lot* of pictures of me that he can down load to any body who could use some, he's such a big fan of the Rangers too, well; including myself that is, hmmmm, come to think of it, he did mention to me once of how he would like to be a Rescue Ranger, but Golly!!! I don't know how we're gonna manage to get him in our headquarters, anyway; just let him know if you could use some and he'll send them on over, gee....I had know idea that people we're making drawings of me, ;:Blush:; actually some of them are quite good, thank you everybody, oh; and you to Julie, your web site looks great, keep up the good work O.K? | Comments: wow, what fun! I was searching the web for photos from the late 60's when I was a ride operator on Storybookland, It's a Small World & other fantasyland attractions. My husband also worked there and one of his duties was to catch Tinkerbell in a mattress at the end of her descent from the Matterhorn. He worked on the Fantasyland Skyway and wore lederhosen. When we got married he had to quit working at the park as spouses were not allowed to work together. | |

| Comments: One minor neutral and a couple of (slightly) negative points about Gadget (please understand, my overall opinion of her is positive; she was my favorite RR character). (1) She's very strong for her size. Though she's the smallest rodent on the team, she's stronger than Chip or Dale, and when she gets mad she's almost as strong as Monterey (as shown in a few episodes). [In connection with that episode with the gang, I think you're right that she couldn't handle a whole bunch of enemies without her gadgets, but I will point out that she's a LOT physically tougher than she looks, as Bubbles found out, and as the RR really should realize by now ...] (2) Though she's normally very sweet, she is excitable and on the rare occasions when something truly sets her off, has a very bad temper. (If she wasn't so basically nice, she'd make a scary mad scientist). (3) When first encountered (in the origin movie) she was very naive, very solitary, and a bit neurotic. She seemed to be sort of a manic depressive. In the later episodes, her personality stablizes. (To be fair to Gadget, she was horribly lonely after her father's death, and her "recovery" shows that probably all she needed was a little love and friendship to heal]. Flaws make a character more interesting, and I love the beautiful and brilliant Miss Hackwrench all the more because she isn't just a Cute Little Lost Bunny! Sincerely Yours, Jordan | |
