System History/Future |
Reenie has an interesting history. She
belonged to KTUL Channel 8, the ABC affiliate in Tulsa,
OK. My dad brought her home one day for my sister to use,
but somehow she ended up in my posession. Despite my
mixed feelings about Macintosh computers, I found this
one kind of interesting to use. I didn't have any
problems at the beginning, because she was a well taken
care of machine and I had plenty of software to play
around with. About a year ago I gave her to the goodwill because I no-longer had the room, and had given up on trying to find expansion hardware. Interesting note: The external drive that Reenie came with was dubbed the "spider drive" by some channel 8 engineering employees who witnessed a small spider crawl into the ventilation ports on top of the drive, and dissappear. |
