Gadget absorbed this atmosphere that was distinctly lacking in social skills. I'm sure it was just as common to find a screwdriver or wrench next to your plate as it was to find a knife or fork. Mealtimes were at odd hours since inspiration does not wait for the stomach. Who knows? Maybe they ate over the sink a lot. The point is, there wasn't a lot of training in social skills at the Hackwrench household. So when Gadget went to high school (lower grades having been taken at home) she felt lost. That's why she's shy except around those she lives with. That's also why she feels most comfortable while tinkering. I tried hard to make Gadget, not absent minded, but extremely focused. She has tunnel vision when she's working on something. Most of the time, she doesn't even realize that the boys are making a play for her. The voice of Sewernose was played by Pete somebody. I forget. If you've seen Terminator 2 - he's the guy who owns the biker bar who comes out on the front porch with a shotgun. Note of interest: When we started, we thought Zipper would steal the show because he was so cute. But when we started writing scripts it was extremely hard to give him anything to do because of his relative weakness and lack of a voice. Sometimes he was hardly in a script and we just told the storyboard artists to work him in where we could.Previous is 1369 Next is 1371
