Subject: The Disney Afternoon for the 1996-97 Season

     I called KNVA, the Austin affiliate that broadcasts the Disney programs,
about the status of the Disney shows for next season.  Here's what I found
out.

     - The lineup will be:

       Darkwing Duck	M-F

       Gargoyles	M-F

       Aladdin		M-F

       Timon and Pumbaa	M
       Quack Pack	Tu-Th
       The Mighty Ducks	F

So it seems that "Darkwing Duck" really is being moved off the Disney Channel
back into the Disney Afternoon.  "Bonkers" will be neither on the Channel nor
in the DA, but it might still be available for syndication.  People should 
call their local affiliates to confirm the status of DWD and "Bonkers".
     - Rumors had been spread that "Gargoyles" would be shown in their proper
continuity order.  Actually, "Gargoyles" will be broadcast in order, BUT in 
the order of their GG-numbers.  Chris Rogers's "Gargoyles" page:

has an episode list that includes the GG-number, which Buena Vista uses to
keep
track of the eps.  The GG-number order is the same as the continuity order
for
the first season, but is very different for the second season.  So be warned.
     - "The Mighty Ducks" will have a two-part premiere.  On September 6, 
"Aladdin" will be preempted for one and only one time so that Disney can show
both parts of the MD premiere on the same day.
